COVID-19 Safety Plan

Please see below our operational policies and procedures. 

We will be updating this plan as public health mandates. 

We’d like to thank you all for honouring our policies and procedures through this time. 

We’re so very lucky to have such awesome clients, such a talented team, and to still have a rad and safe place to work.

Policies & Procedures

General Appointments

We are booking appointments through our online booking only. Every stylist's individual booking link is located on their bio page. 


Please note we will not be accepting walk-ins at this time.

Cancellation Policy, Sickness and Health Checks

Currently we are waiving our cancellation policy for any COVID symptoms.

All clients and staff are not to enter our space if they have experienced any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 10 days. 
Symptoms include coughing, shortness of breath, sore throat, any cold symptoms, or any fevers, body aches or chills. This period can be shortened to 5 days if the individual is double or triple vaccinated. 

 

A Verbal Check In Process will need to be completed by each any every client at the front door before entering the salon for their appointment. The questions for this process are also included in the emailed appointment reminders, so please review those emails for the most up to date processes and policies. 
 

If a client cancels with less than 48 hours notice or NO SHOWS an appointment without notifying their stylist or the salon they will be charged half of the cost of the appointment missed or they will not be rescheduled again.

This is to be respectful of our stylists time.

Check in and Appointment Procedures

 

Our check in procedures are being changed to reflect the needs of our new operational standards.
 

Our front door will be remaining locked at all times.


We ask that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment and be prepared to wait outside, practice safe distancing at all times.

 

Your stylist will come to check you in at the beginning of your appointment. 

Please come solo to your appointment.
 

An in person health check questionnaire will need to be completed at the door before entering the salon.

 

These are our current questions: 
 

1. Symptom Check 
Are you experiencing any of the following :
Runny Nose, Fever, Chills / Shakes, Sore Throat, Difficulty Breathing, Sudden Loss of Taste or Smell.

 

2. Are you awaiting COVID-19 test results?
 

3. Have you been in close contact with anyone that has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19?
 

If you answer YES to any of these questions we will likely have to reschedule your appointment, please contact us immediately.

Masks

 

As of September 21st 2022 we will be changing our masking policy.

In consideration of our clients and community who are more vulnerable and have greater health risks, all Sundays and Tuesdays will be fully masked days. On those days masks are mandated for anyone wishing to enter our salon. All clients are required to wear masks during the entire duration of their appointment, we will in turn also all be wearing them. 

 

Wednesdays to Saturdays will be masking optional. During these days, clients may wear masks if they wish, and they may also request their stylist wear a mask during their appointment. 

 

This policy may return to every day masking if the situation requires.

Please book on days that have a policy that reflects your needs and preferences.

Drinks and Food

We are unable to offer beverages or snacks at this time. If a client needs to eat during their appointment they will be asked to step outside whenever possible, or on our masking days.


Ideal practice is to arrive having eaten already.

Cleaning, Disinfection and Space Layout 

 

All stations, sinks, high touch areas and surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected between each client and after use using hospital grade viricidal cleaning products. All tools will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each use. All linens will be changes after each client and laundered with hot water and bleach. There will be a minimum of 15 minutes between each appointment to allow for proper cleaning and disinfection. Stylist will be following the strictest guidelines recommended by WorkSafe BC, The Provincial Health Organization and The Beauty Council.

Air Quality


Our air conditioning unit has been upgraded to have the highest possible filters and thoroughly disinfected.

The filters installed are the highest filter our units can handle. The air in the salon will be fresher than outside. All temperature controls and setting will be professionally set to ensure optimal health and safety conditions.

Please be prepared to wear or remove a sweater as needed.

Our online store will remain open, ideally let us know when you intend to pick up your purchases, or be prepared to wait until we have time to help you.

Costs and Prices

For better clarity and consistency we have switched to time based pricing. 

Each stylist's rates are stated on their online booking pages. 


Please note we will not be offering reduced rate for kids, teens or youths at this time.

All clients are to pay the same rate based on appointment length of time and not age, history or gender.
